While on a tour of the US and Canada I got to see some beautiful maple trees that skirted main roads. It was almost the Fall season and the leaves had turned colour. Maple leaf is an emblem of Canada and I could see so many trinkets that had the maple leaf designs Talking of maple I also got to taste the original maple syrup - so different from other syrups. I had that on pan cakes that my niece had prepared. A great memory Have you tasted maple sysrup

I'm not a snob about most foodstuffs, but there is simply no comparison, between real maple syrup, and that fakey stuff everyone buys. I would rather use just a bit of the real stuff compared to the other. I keep it on hand, that is what we always have. Nothing better than this!

I am with you on this . Nothing like tasting the real maple syrup and I had the opportunity to do it while on that memorable holiday. What we get online cannot be trusted.

@MarieCoyle I am a chocolate foodie and have tasted every original brand on earth (lol) When I ordered for Belgian chocolates online I could see how different they were

@allknowing I think once people actually try the real stuff, they don't want to go back to the fake.

Yes, but once you taste the real stuff you can’t go back. People pass off syrup as real maple syrup when it absolutely is not. I also love maple fudge, although I haven’t had any in years.

My thought too. I got tempted to order it online but from past experience with other items I know for sure that will not be pure.

@Tampa_girl7 You can get the genuine stuff easily unlike us who have to depend on online purchase which is definitely not original.

@allknowing Yes, but not everyone has had the genuine maple syrup. The imitation truly doesn’t compare.

Maple syrup is quite tasty. I wish it didn't cost so much. I'm glad you were able to see the turning leaves.

They sell maple syrup here but it would just be a mass-produced stuff.
