Finally

I made four calls to my insurance company this month to take care of one minor thing that I am unable to do myself. Four calls! Unreal. What did I need? I needed them to change my phone number because I couldn't do it myself. I no longer had that number so there was no way for me to have them text or call me. They had to do it.
When I called this morning, the first time, the phone got disconnected when the representative tried to get a supervisor to help me. The second time this morning, I had success. Finally, my number is changed, and I can get into my account. Being that it is the last day, I wanted to make certain I didn't have a balance on my UCard. I don't. Otherwise, I would have headed to the store to spend the rest of the balance that doesn't roll over. I did see the reward I got for having the home health nurse come in last week.
She assured me the old number is completely gone now. I hope so. They told me that before and it popped back up.
Have you needed to make numerous calls to get something taken care of that was super simple to do but you couldn't do it yourself? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I need to check and see when my OTC with my insurance rolls over again. This last winter it was next to impossible to get ahold of them. When I finally did they showed some error in their information on me and I had to wait 72 hours and then call back. That happened twice. What a fiasco!

I'm glad that was finally sorted out for you! Right now my mother is having landline phone problems (again) and I dread having to call the phone company (again). Last time it was a nightmare of 3 long calls and weeks of waiting to finally resolve the problem . . . it shouldn't have taken that long. And now I have to go through this again

A few times. And, then people talk down to me like I'm an idiot.

@just4him That's why I do things online or in-person as much as possible.

I have been trying to get the HVAC company that does our semi-annual system maintenance to change our phone number in their system for over a year. Yet, when the time for service comes and I call them to set up an appointment, they tell me they tried to call but the number was out of service. I explain for the umpteenth time that we no longer have the landline and ask them to change our record. They say they will, and six months later it happens again.

Fortunately lately I have been able to take care of problems with one phone call EXCEPT that big problem I had with my computer. That took hours and hours and a dozen calls. Enjoy your day.

I have had to make multiple calls before...not for that but for other things that crop up. Changing a phone number shouldn't require a supervisor though.

I have had to use online chat before because the person on the phone either didn't know their job or didn't want to do it

That's terrible. I hope they really did change it. I haven't had that kind of problem lately with companies. Over the weekend I was looking at the petco website and I noticed that they had my old address and phone number. I quickly changed it in case I ever buying cat food online from them again.

Sorry to hear it took that many calls to get it taken care of. That is frustrating for sure. Sometimes we do when dealing with doctors and prescriptions!
