Remember the AT&T outage that caused my home network to go through some changes?
I thought I had managed to identify and update all the devices around the house including the home security system.
Well, I did, mostly. The cameras for the home security system, as it turns out, needed to be individually reconnected to the network. Oddly enough, the motion detectors in the same housing as the cameras did not.
I learned this when I got a hit about motion detected in the driveway and tried to see what it was.
The fix was an easy one, once I knew it needed fixing. I wonder what else I may not have thought of will pop up next.
Have you ever thought you'd fixed a problem only to have little glitches keep popping up?

@DWDavis I hate those special things. A thief is going to get them no matter what

Yes, we sure did here. Had been having issues with our WiFi. and we tried a myriad of things but nothing worked. Finally, we moved the router clear away from anything, into a corner of the room. And, things worked so much better.
We haven't had a power outage in years. The last one lasted a long time. I was beginning to wish we had a generator.

@DWDavis ......They portable ones on QVC and HSN are great. Can handle a lot of hook ups and charge your computer too.

I've heard that having the router too close to things like the fridge can cause issues.
K and I have talked about getting a generator but cost and upkeep just don't seem worth it as rarely as we lose power. As long as we have propane in the camper's tanks, we can cook, use the fridge, and run the heater in the rig until the electricity comes back on.

@celticeagle I'd like something that would fit in the truck to take along when camping so we could stay in places without electrical hookups.

Oh, yeah! Thankfully, we don't have power outages like we did last night very often... But I found out that I had to reconnect each thumbnail camera individually, too. With them, it's a pain in the patoot! I'm glad you got your problems hopefully solved.

@DWDavis I have five thumbnails but one is having problems so I left it off until I can figure the problems out.

Hopefully you got it all fixed now.
The trunk of our car wouldn't close today. That was weird. Hubby finally got it to close, he said something was in alarm mode.
Now, perhaps this happened because he had the battery disconnected to deal with something else.

I'm glad you got that glitch taken care of. I hope it's the last of them.
My only glitch now is my phone. It doesn't always allow me to answer it. I tried unsuccessfully to answer it. It will ring until it hangs up and then I can call the person back. At Bible study last week, the ladies there saw just how hard it is for me to answer my phone when that happens.

It's easy to miss something like this. I know it's happened to us but can't think where at the moment. I meant to mention you in my recent discussion but forgot. It was where they'd written 'The animal was struck by the plane as it was taking off at Brentwood.' So annoying!

I hope everything is fixed now. I hate when you think something's fixed; and it isn't. Enjoy your day.
