Day 24 Malachi 3:13 “Your words have been harsh against Me,” says the LORD, “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against You?’ 14 You said, ‘It is useless to serve God; what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, and walked as mourners before the LORD of hosts? 15 So now we call the proud blessed, for those who do wickedness are raised up; they tempt God and go free.’” 16 Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD listened and heard them; so, a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the LORD and meditated on His name. 17 “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on the day I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.” 18 Then you will again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him. When you look at the world around you, listen to the local and national news, and then look at your life, it seems unfair. Those who act self-righteously, flaunting their self-importance, seem to get away with crimes that should put them in prison for life, yet walk away because they have lawyers to help them. You wonder where justice is when you see the guilty go free. You begin to wonder what good it does for you to walk the straight and narrow. God told the people He heard them when they saw injustice and wicked people blessing themselves. He listened and heard what His people said and wrote a book of remembrance for those who feared Him and served Him. God called those who served Him His jewels. He said He would spare them as a man who spares his son. Then His people would discern between the righteous and the wicked, between those who served God and those who didn’t. Many Christians believe it doesn’t matter how good you are when they see how wickedness reigns in the world. They don’t realize God hears and listens to them when they call out to Him for justice in this wicked world. They only see how the wicked go free to do whatever they will. When Christians sit back and do nothing but complain about how wicked people continually go free and live a blessed life, nothing will change. It is only when you call out to God, seek His face, and pray for Him to act on your behalf that He will listen and work for you. He counts you as His jewels and will bring justice to those who serve Him. God said He would listen and hear what His people say. Many Christians hear, but they don’t listen. God said He would do both when you call out to Him. You are one of God’s jewels. God sees, hears, and listens to what you say and writes it in His book of remembrance. God will take care of those who don’t believe in Him and do whatever they please. It’s His promise to you. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for listening to me when I pray. Satan is hard at work in the lives of those who don’t know You. Turn their wickedness back on themselves and bring justice to Your people. Bless Your people who fear You and let faith rise and shout when You work in the lives of Your people. Thank you that I am one of Your jewels. Bless me as I pray and watch You work on my behalf.
