This week I will have to renew my driver's license. Yep. On or before my birthday. I was going to try to do it today while I was in town, but that is just too much. I have two doctor's appointments today. "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming" . . .

Yeah, well appointment #2 today was with a cardiologist. I really do not think I need one, but this gives another doctor a foot in the door and an opportunity to prescribe more tests and pills.

@GardenGerty It's possible a "new" set of eyes looking at you will see a solution to your problems so having a different doctor running some tests can't hurt anything. Good luck to you.

I had to renew mine this year also, as well as my health care card. They were both done at the same appointment at the provincial office. It is $90 for the driver's license renewal, too bad I don't like driving that much.

I have not opted up to "the real ID" driver's license. It is the one you need to fly, etc. Even so, I think yours costs a lot more. How long is it good for?

Do you mean taking him to the DMV? Or do you fill out the renewal paperwork and mail it?

I just go in to our county courthouse and do paperwork, get a picture, and pay the money.

Hopefully you can do it before your BD, that way you'll have a valid drivers license while you're waiting for your new one ........ or maybe your state has given your dmv one of those instant card outputs.

If I remember correctly I get a paper like a receipt with my picture on it that is good until the card comes in the mail. But maybe we have an instant one. I cannot remember.

You gotta love getting your driver’s license renewed. I go to the tag agency nearest me to get my renewed. Next year is when I have to go back in. I hope you can get it taken care of quickly whenever you do find time to go.

I don't drive so don't have a driver's license but there's an identity card we have here that I haven't renewed and probably should. It looks just like our driver's licenses and health cards.
