Amazon India's useless AI- alexa

Recently I ordered a hair cleanser produced by Patanjali through Amazon India. I was delivered a aloevera face gel instead. I tried to lodge a return request through the apps options but it worked strangely, asking to upload the product photo time and again. So I tried their AI to chat with their chatbot " Alexa" and see replied " I don't understand this". My son screamed back into the microphone saying " I know you won't understand anything ". This is the condition of AI in online shopping apps which are just useless and frustrating. I reordered a Patanjali shampoo from "bigbasket".
Be careful while ordering anything at Amazon India, especially when you are in Kolkata.
I used this screenshot to email and complain to the Amazon support team but in vain.

We all must be careful of AI anywhere. I spent nearly 30 years working in call centers. AI is more trouble than it's worth, so I do not hesitate to tell call centers this when I call in (as a customer now that I no longer work). They need to stop using it so much and bring human interaction back.

@aninditasen One would hope so, but there has been AI use in call centers at least since my grandmother was in her late 70s. She'd be 102, if she was still alive today.

@Chellezhere Doing away with human beings and using AI is only a trick used by the company to cheat customers.

You understand that but not the company heads. So let their products lose market they will come back to customer services through human being.

Those chatbots seem to have a very limited repetorie and can only help with very basic issues.

I don't find them helpful at all. They just talk nonsense.

I feel your frustration. Much of new technology causes stress, because it doesn’t work as it should.

That's the reason we feel very frustrated. I had stopped ordered through Amazon India for a long time.

Yes. But my return journey was smooth with Amazon. I had ordered a laptop and the backlit keyboard was faulty. They replaced the laptop within 20 days, although I had to make 3-4 calls I guess. I didn't use AI though.

Now you have to use the chatbot. There's no customer care number. I didn't find it.

@Dreamerby It has become as I got no reply from customer care. I have therefore stopped ordering at Amazon.
