Wish I Could Do What Bears Do

I love bears. Teddy bears, Grizzlies, Polar, etc. They are extraordinary animals. But, I love that they prepare for winter by building up reserves of fat. I would love to use that as an excuse for eating I also like to sleep and used to do a lot more of it when I was a teenager and before I was diagnosed and on any anti-depressants. I would like to go to sleep on November 1 and wake up on March 1. I doubt I could go for that long without using the bathroom about 12 times a day. Not sure how that would work. But I sure wouldn't miss the added body fat. Did you know these animals can move at 34.7 miles per hour, live for 20-25 years, and can grow to 2,200 pounds?

Ohhhh, I used to wish that too! I wouldn't mind a total break from life all those months! Right - there would be an excuse for all that eating and sleeping .

A person with a family to take care of probably couldn't do this. I am retired and live in a room by myself so I could hibernate with no problems.

@celticeagle Yah, in that sense I couldn't do it. Unless all the family were trained to do it too . Kids might miss out on a lot of school though .

@much2say ........Yes, it would be easier if the entire family did it at the same time.

I hibernate during the winter too. 2,200 pounds? Great. I have more I can put on. Enjoy your day.

If we could hibernate, then probably the world would be much more peaceful
