I made a really nice stir fry with cut up pork chops. Last month I got a tray of ten for $10 and we made several meals from them. I cut the last two pork chops into small strips and cooked them today. Added onions, mushrooms, frozen veggies and rice. Nice seasonings of garlic and ginger.
My most strange call for today was my Primary Care Physician's office, wanting me to consider taking a statin, and have a followup with a cardiologist.
The nurse was a little surprised when I told her I had had the cardiologist appointment, will be having a stress test and I will talk with him about statins. She said she would look for the report from the cardiologist and would count on me to follow up.
I think people have too much going on these days. My regular doctor is the one who got me the referral to the cardiologist in the first place.

OMG! They need to get things straight. Doctors have to quit squeezing so many appointments into a day. My doctor's office used to call me with test results for someone that had the same name as me. They couldn't keep us straight. Enjoy your day.

Oh, dear. They don't keep very good notes, do they? I am lucky to have a very good doctor. I always enjoy our talks and she is very good at what she does.

I think you are right that they have too much going on. I got a call from a Orthopedic Sports Clinic about making an appointment after my PCP referred me, but why did he refer me? I have no idea. I also got a call from a spine surgeon, but I had told him I was not having surgery. I guess they are overwhelmed right now.
Not being on a statin already is pretty impressive! I thought almost everyone over forty was on one.

Are they entering it in their computers so someone else can see it? I’ve had that problem with the VA…and I tell them I’ve had the appointment!

The nurse should know that a cardiologist only gets new patients from referrals. And she should know you had a referral because it's in your records.
But yes, I do wonder about the back and forth between doctors. Even after giving me a referral, my regular doctor wasn't kept in the loop like she should have been. She only got reports about what the specialists were doing when Pretty or I told her. It doesn't make sense. The regular doctor is the one everyone is supposed to check in with so no duplicate meds are given or duplicate tests/services are done.

They should have all that info but someone might not have entered it

It is worrisome if your regular doctor's records don't seem to be up to date.
