A very particular experience took place when he first realized his gift as a young boy.
A female apparition granted his wish to help people. She returned and helped him learn how to use his ability.
He went to sleep one evening with his school lesson book under his pillow. The next day he knew all his lessons.
Cayce recorded more than 14,000 readings in his lifetime. He could access people's bodies remotely. He had no medical training but could put himself into a self-induced sleep and when he woke he could give health remedies.
His wife contracted tuberculosis and he was able to give her a reading that made her able to recover from the disease.
He spent his life as a psychic healer and predictor of the future.
I am amazed every time I read or see a piece about this man. Some don't believe in the psychic arts but surely he should be proof that such things are real.

I first heard of Edgar Cayce, 'the sleeping prophet' when I was a teenager. I can't remember if I got the book from the library or a rummage sale, but after reading it, I sort of forced my mother to read it, too. I remember he cured someone's cancer by prescribing that person to eat three raw almonds a day.

I am friends with people who are gifted like him. I don't tell people about my friends because I know they wouldn't believe me. They have helped a lot of people, provided them healing and even food. They don't ask for a single cent for doing so. They travel to other places to help those who are sick, but they don't get anything in return.

That would be nice, to know someone with that gift. The ones with true gifts don't ask for money.

That sounds amazing and some of the sixth sense I inherited from my family and the ability to contact at times with the world beyond make me really believe there are such people in this world, I will look him up online.
