12 August - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today is a beautiful day. There's a nice breeze keeping it pleasantly cool in the apartment.
I'm thankful I called my sister early this morning to wish her a Happy Birthday. When she answered, I sang to her, and she didn't stop me. We talked for over half an hour.
I'm thankful I went to the Bible truck exhibit. It was awesome! It told about the history of the Bible, and how people smuggled it in war times and into various countries. There was also a Gutenberg press. The person who gave the presentation printed a copy of John 3:16 for everyone. I'm going to frame it.
I'm thankful for my new food processor. I used it to slice zucchini, summer squash, and chop a couple of small onions for my lunch. I'm incredibly happy with it. It will be one of the most used appliances on my counter.
I'm thankful I finished the notifications twice today. It's always great to be here with you and see what's happening in your world.

I am thankful for someone who came to mow the lawn today and that a blackout this morning only lasted for about four hours this morning.

I am thankful it wasn't hot out when I walked Sadie this morning, and I am thankful I received some really nice plates this morning. I don't think I have ever had any that nice, plus they curve up at the edges, so it isn't easy to spill anything. I don't have a lot of plates to begin with.

Saturday I went to my cousin's wedding reception. She had already gotten married, but she had the reception this past Saturday. I'm thankful that my shoes felt comfy from me putting some foot pads in them. I did some line dances there. It was fun. I found out another cousin might be getting married.
