I think spammers are getting desperate.

I've picked up two spam calls over the last couple of days. One of whom was looking for someone named Fernando. While this has happened before, when I said 'wrong number' that was usually the end of it. But yesterday they tried to sell me on health insurance. I hung up on them. Today I felt with one who tried to sell me life insurance. ...for elderly people. Again when I give my age, they tend to hang up. But I had someone asking me random medical questions. Eventually I hung up. Yep, their business is failing so they're trying to snag as many calls as possible. spam baiting really does work.

I don't get scam calls from individuals. I get automated calls from somewhere posing as my bank, my service provider, the CRA (canadian equivalent of IRS ), FedX and so forth. I get voicemails from an automated caller speaking Mandarin. They are getting aggressive. I had a voicemail from an angry automated caller upset that I hadn't picked up my parcel yet. (I didn't order anything) It's never ending.

Oh yes. That would be annoying. Ups and Fedx are usually e-mails. I would even get e-mails from Amazon or something tracking their shipments.

@AmbiePam Oh, some of those are real, because anyone can create an invoice. Scammers use this method to get money, too.

If someone isn't in my contact list I don't answer the phone. Once a week or so I'll go through the voicemail and delete any messages they may have left.

I only answer my phone if I know I'm expecting a call. Most of the time, I don't. I just find it interesting what length some spam callers will go through to make a sale.

I got a spam call the other day telling me my Social Security number had been stolen, and they needed me to tell them what it was to confirm it. Uh, no. I’m not falling for that.

I don't give out any information at all to anyone that calls. I don't answer 99% of the spam calls. Eventually most have given up. They are soooo annoying though. Enjoy your day.
