Got My Flight Booked

I don't start working in my new workplace until next month, and part of my orientation is a trip to our headquarters in IL. They have emailed me and have sent me my flight details. Honestly, with all the traveling that we've done due to the move, I am not really excited to travel this soon. Thank goodness I only have a 3-hour flight, no connecting flights. But the headquarters is about an hour or so away from the airport, longer depending on the traffic. I know I am fortunate and blessed with this new job, and I am grateful for it. But just let me vent and whine, I'll put on my big girl undies and face this when the time comes.

It's okay to lament things now and then. We know you are grateful for the job, but you have had quite the odeal. Moving is a big thing no matter if it's for an exciting reason or not.

And this is why I would share this whine on here - if I try to share this with my friends, they will think I am ungrateful. Or worse, like I am fishing for compliments or have ulterior motives. But all I really want is to let out the anxiety of traveling at the moment.

Thank you, I am excited and anxious. It's always that first day feeling of trying to fit in and making sure that we made the right choice.

A 3-hour flight is not too bad, it's worse the one hour traffic from the airport to your headquareters.
