But the campground did sponsor an ice cream social for all campers in the meeting room. There was no charge, but they did ask that participants make a small donation to KOA Care Camps, the official charity of the KOA Owners Association. The "the KOA Campground Owners Association created the Care Camps Trust — to help children who have cancer enjoy care-free time focusing on fun, friends and activities at sleep-away camp instead of on their illness." If you want to learn more, I've included the link below. I think this is a great thing for KOA to do and was glad to donate in return for a bowl of ice cream and sundae toppings. Tomorrow we will be packing up and heading home. Our next camping trip is in about 3 weeks. In between, Son2 and I will spend 4 days in a cottage at Kure Beach fishing and hanging out. We would have camped but no sites were available. I hope your weekend went well. Did you do anything fun and interesting?
