Sunny Thursday and drying clothes

Philippines

Hello hello lotters and readers! I am happy today because finally it stopped raining. The sun is up and is shining brightly. Another reason I am in a good mood today is because finally the clothes that I washed the other day will dry now. I hang them up already to dry , we haven't bought a new washing machine with dryer yet because we are kinda busy of some changes and mom can't find the time to buy. But it's okay though it feels like exercise to me squeezing clothes to dry before hanging them up to dry under the sun Some home appliances are really helpful these days to make our lives a bit easy , but its also good to do chores manually at times for a little exercise on our part . Have you tried doing some household chores manually too? I mean not using appliances and electricity? Like for me there are household chores I do manually like washing the dishes, polishing the floor and drying clothes. How about you fellow lotters? Fellow readers ?

Oh I love washing the dishes and mopping the floor. We've recently moved to a city apartment and have no choice but to use an automatic washing machine. I spin dry the clothes quickly and hang them to dry in the balcony. I'm glad that the sun is out. My laundry smells fresher and cleaner now.

@almostoveryou Yes you are right the sun is up and the clothes will dry and it will smell fresh though I put on some fabric conditioner on them it helps dry the clothes too. And to be honest I dont know how to use the automatic washing machine I am used to using the regular one thats why spin dry is very helpful for me .

No, I use my appliances. I'm not going to strain myself if I don't have to. However, I like the way you think about it!

@AmbiePam Haha I understand some people use their appliances for a lot of valid reasons its understandable and different to some people .

I sweep and mop the floors all the time. There are no rugs in my house.

Mostly I make use of the appliances I have but over the years I've done many household tasks by hand. My washing machine spins the clothes nearly dry and they take much less time to dry than if I had to wring them by hand.

@JudyEv I love how appliances makes our chores easier and yes you are right over the years a lot of us finish their chores by hand and by the improvement in technology they made a lot of appliances as well. I just hope mom can buy a new washing machine with spin dryer because its helpful to us this season , its hard to dry clothes at this season because its the rainy season now here in my country .

@iKONICNoona I understand. I hate having damp clothes hanging all over the house.

I dust and polish my furniture, wash dishes, clean the bath room. mop my kitchen floor and scrub my deck. I do have to vacuum carpets and I use the washer and dryer.

I still hand-wash my delicate underwear. I know that our washer and dryer have a delicate option cycle, but it did not work for me. I also sweep the floors sometimes instead of using the vacuum cleaner. When I visited my parents in the Philippines, I handwashed my clothes because I don't want to take back dirty clothes in my luggage. Plus it's only a few items and I don't see why I should bother using their washing machine.

I always wash the dishes manually, I mop and wash the floors, often I hang clothes outside to dry, the electricity is expensive.
