It's September, It's 6:30 a.m., and It's Dark

And it's not cool.
You can take that both ways.
I don't like it being dark again when we get up and it's time to take the dogs out.
It may be September, but the temperatures have not moderated. Eastern NC may have set a record yesterday for the daily high temperature in several locations.
I know the cooler weather is coming. I hope it doesn't wait too long.
Are you ready for more darkness? Are you ready for cooler weather?

It's almost 9 am in my part of Missouri and it's a dim, drizzly day here. Our temp right now is 60F. Our high is supposed to reach 78F... I stepped out on the front porch to see if the potted plants needed water and got a little chilly earlier.
I could have done without the record-breaking heat here this Summer. Most of our time was spent indoors.

I am very read and after the humidity of the heat this summer in Colorado, I will welcome cool and nice weather and darkness.

I don't mind it darker...better to sleep with. The cat didn't wake me up early this AM so I got to sleep until almost 6Am..woohoo. I felt well rested as well.

It feels familiar here also.
Less than expected Monsoon rains, especially Mid August onwards.
Plus 1 or 2 C higher temperature than expected.
Clouds here and there but no rains.
The only respite is that the humidity has dropped and that is good in some ways but cannot compensate for the lack of rains.
At times, shorter days do pinch but at other times, it gives a feeling of suspense and excitement as well

It is getting a bit cooler here in Florida and right now at 8 PM it is pitch black out side but would have been light still up to about 10 PM SIGH all those long dark night a coming,

I'm more than ready for the cooler weather but I hate when it gets dark so early in the evenings. My ideal weather would be cool temperatures but it stays light until 8:30 - 9pm like the summer months.
