Phew! It's warm out there, but I got my errands done. Went to the bank, and on the way stopped at the Raley's grocery, as they have a UPS office in there. Had to wait, as no sooner did I get there than the attendant went on a bathroom break. Got that done, then went to the bank and deposited my checks, then headed home and made the mistake (mistake for me, as I usually spend at least $50) of stopping at the Hallmark store. I did get a bunch of things for a friend's birthday, though, so at least there was that. My bill came to $60-something, and a lady in the next line said, "Can you use this?" and handed me a $5 coupon. The checker in the line I was in had to restart my transaction, but I wound up getting $5 off. After, I went to the grocery store I normally go to, looking for some ice cream I was tempted to get last time. While in the store, I ran into my co-worker and her two daughters, who were picking up meds at the pharmacy--her younger daughter had been in the emergency room the day before. While I was talking with her, I saw a lady I know from church, and chatted with her a bit, too. She saw the tub of ice cream I was going to buy and said, "You're not going to eat all that yourself, are you?" and I told her, "Yes, just not all in one sitting." Now, I'm home, and it's eleven minutes after noon. Guess I should get something for lunch. Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!
