Blue as a Tea: Cool?!?

I met my second cousin, and she gave me some blue tea seeds today. She instructed me to use only five dried seeds and drink them. I must say that I am not a fan of drinking pure teas and prefer to have some combination, like milk tea. I just shared it here to ask how I would prepare it. Since she was on the run this afternoon, I forgot to ask about it. By the way, it is also called "butterfly pea flower tea." Have you tried it? What are the benefits of this blue tea for our bodies? @allknowing I will try to go to the botanical shop and buy a plant. Is it possible to plant the dried flower?

While composing this comment, I am sipping the blue tea now. It does not taste anything but the water turned blue.

I believe @allknowing could tell you everything one needs to know. She has personal experience with this kind of tea.

I have the indigo butterfly pea flowers and I make tea using these flowers. You just need ot dip a couple of flowers in hot water and in a few minutes the water turns blue. I have it without adding anything but one can enrich it

@allknowing I am having it now. You are right, it turned blue upon putting five dried flowers. I am trying to use cold water. It is tasteless and I like it. Thanks for calling the attention of our @AmbiePam

I must admit, I never have heard of blue tea. You learn something new everyday I guess.

@Shavkat I wonder if it will make it over here to this part of the world?

I tried it before and kind of liked it. However, I still prefer to drink green tea or matcha green tea.

Pure green tea is not good for me. I usually have stomach upset after having it. I love match green tea and it is better because it is mixed one.
