A DRAMATIC Soul

I must admit that I cannot stand being with someone who keeps on complaining and whining about certain things that can be resolved. The course of action is to stay away from them as much as possible. If I do entertain his or her dramatic episodes, it will surely drain my energy. I do want to have happy thoughts to maintain my sanity. I can be a good listener but not into a person who keeps on talking about his or her problems over and over again.
Can you stand being with someone that tend be so dramatic in life?

I feel the same way because it saps the life out of you listening to them.

I will listen to someone's problems for a while but then will find excuses not to listen anymore.
You're right, it drains my energy to listen to the same problems all the time, especially when the problems they complain about could be fixed if the person wanted to fix them. (Most of the time, the person just wants to keep making excuses instead of fixing things.)

@Shavkat It's annoying, too, when you tell them how to fix the problem and they say they aren't going to do THAT!

It greatly depends on who the person is too.
If it is someone close to me, who I love, I will listen to their problems, and complaints, and do my best to help them, as much as I can do so. I like to give them my attention.
If it is just an acquaintance, or someone at work, I will let them talk, but usually, my mind is switched off, and I am continuing with my work, or what I was doing, and not paying them much attention. I do not like to give them extra attention, which will just waste my time.

I cannot anyone who is living a successful life complain that life is not the way they want to see the world. I keep that television show off when it airs.
