Had you known this saying and what it means? It is the way recently for me. It's just no good. But I plod on. Plod..do you know what that means? @JudyEv usually has some good ones. Do you have any sayings not well known or should I say not said in other areas?

I think that plod means walking slowly with heavy steps. I do not have saying in English.

Yes, I’ve heard them. Another is, You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

My grandfather always would say: "Let the air be free, where ere you may be." And then he would make a noise like a bullfrog, but it was no bullfrog. And, an addendum to this one is: "In church, or chapel, let it rattle!"

I have been trying to think of a saying that I use often, but none comes to mind. Maybe I use it so often that I don't even notice it anymore. I enjoy a good plod myself as well as the uniformed variety!
