British Cop Shows versus American Cop Show

I have watched my share of both and I have to say that most of the British Detective Shows are better television than most American Detective Shows. I finished binge-watching a British Detective show called "Murder in Suburbia." It only ran for two seasons. I think that is a shame. It was a good show. My favorite British Detective shows are Father Brown, Sister Boniface, Death in Paradise, and Beyond Paradise. I do like some American Detective shows, at least some seasons of them. I liked Bones until the two main characters got emotionally involved. That ruined it for me. The same thing with Castle. It was good until the wedding episodes. Do you like detective shows? Do you watch British and American shows? Which do you like better?
