My way or not at all.

Do you know people who say do it my way or not at all. My friend got a new boss and the job went to his head. He told all of his employees that did road work to follow the directions exactify as he wrote them. My friend and his crew tore up the street like the directions said. The next day they put the tar down exactify as the directions said. No where in the directions did it say to make sure the road was even with the rest of the road . So of course the road went down two inches after you went back to the new part. When the boss called them in the office my friend showed him the directions and no where did it say to make the new road even with the old road. And you did say my way or not at all. So we did it your way. His crew got over time my going back and fixing the new road even with the old road. After that the boss just told them to do it the way they know how. The job did not go to his head anymore.

Some people get very uppity when they are promoted to a higher position. People who have been doing something for a very long time often don't need much instruction.

My friend was offered that job to stay in the office and get a salary and he figured it out he would be getting less money. So he turned it down.

Yes, it id difficult with someone how wants it all his own way. I have had some problems with such people when I worked in NYC. So toady I am glad that I am my own boss and do it my own way with no one stepping on my toes and me not stepping on anyone else's toes,

@jstory07 I think I lose my patience when weeks and months go by and something isn't done...so I want it done my way.

Good for the crew! Instead of arguing with the new boss, they did exacty as he said and proved that he was an idiot.

That was an expensive way to pop that guys balloon. I know people like that and for the most part I ignore them. Because eventually something like what happened with this man happens to them.
