Reminders and reminders, and more

I have a nuclear medicine appointment for the cardiologist on Monday. I have written paperwork with instructions, then I got a call that gave same instructions, and left a message to call them back to confirm I got the call, and to give the instructions AGAIN.
Yes, I know about no coffee, no food, be on time, bring a jacket.
Hubby has two appointments in Wichita Tuesday afternoon, and now VA reminds us he also has a community provider appointment that morning, but they will not say who. I will have to look through his appointment cards.
The average person must be really bad about following instructions, and keeping appointments. I only say this because that is the only thing that excuses all these reminders in letters, phone calls, texts and instant messages.
I am sort of keeping busy today, by relaxing. Thinking about taking a nap at 8 in the morning. If I do it will not be a long one.

Maybe they send out so many because people fail to do what it required or even show up. I know of someone who was to fast before her appointment and didn't. She couldn't understand why they were mad. I told her because they were there to do their job and couldn't because she failed to do what was required. It wastes their time when they could be helping someone else who will actually do what they are told to do.
