It's been a rough morning.

Around five Am, our smoke sector started going off for no apparent reason. At first I thought the sound came from outside. It went on and off like this for a couple of hours, then.... it would go quiet for about an hour and then go at it again. Quite frankly I'm annoyed and have a headache while wanting to burry it in the back yard. Worse yet, it's scaring Chilly. I want to do something about it. Instead of a nice day home we're going out. Have to replace it. Not how I wanted to start the day.

@kaylachan It would me too. For some stupid reason, they always pick the middle of the night to go off.

Ugh, that's definitely not the kind of morning anyone wants to have. Sorry that you had to go through this.

You're right. It's not. Nor is it fun knowing we have to go out to solve the problem.

If that were the case all five of them would be going off.

Is it one that is wired into your home. We have both, a battery operated one and one that is wired. The wired one did that once. Mike hit the red button on it and we never had trouble with it again. I hope your day gets better. That is no way to start off a day.

It's both, hard wired with a battery backup. We tried to reset it, kept it quiet about an hour.

This product has a non-user replaceable battery. So that's just not possible.

Hmm... doesn't sound like some way one would like the day to start. It needs to be replaced. It can be really annoying. Hope that the rest of the day is good

@arunima25 Up and down. We had a good day for the most part then got hit with a nasty thunderstorm to end the day. George didn't get the back mowed like he wanted, but he got to start at least. He likes the idea of the rain, more since our yard needs it more.
