Good evening from this side of the planet. It's 10:30 PM here and I am in my bed about to call it a day in some time. It's drizzling outside and I can feel the cold breeze through my bedroom window. It's a lovely window. We can see lightening and it might be another night of rain and thunder. For sure, we are going to wake up to a wet Wednesday morning. It was a holiday today. There was a protest strike across the state over Cauvery water issue. The two neighbouring states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have been fighting over one river, Cauvery for decades and the issue stays unresolved. I have been in Karnataka for almost ten years and I have seen this kind of protest and strike a couple of days every year. At least whenever this issue is discussed in the assembly of either state. Both want more share of water and the fight continues... politics fuels it further. Anyways I had one online meeting in the morning. Pandemic has taught us a valuable lesson to work from virtual space without impacting our work . There might be another such strike on Friday but it's still not confirmed. Tomorrow is working day, but more of fun day. It's term exams going on and so no one to one sessions in the morning. Also, I have no meeting with parents or teachers. We have a potluck lunch tomorrow with fellow teachers. So, I would not go for work in the morning, but join them for lunch. I have to take tadka daal for everyone Thursday is a holiday on account of Eid. So, basically we have another short week That's all for blabbering now. The drizzle has changed to heavy rain and I can hear raindrops on my terrace roof. This music makes me sleep better. I would like to stay awake for a while as I have no rush to work tomorrow..I just need to cook and pack for my daughter. And I have done all the preparations so that it's quick in the morning. I can be awake an extra hour and sleep extra hour in the morning. Have a good time in your corner Stay healthy and happy.

We slept in this morning and it was nice not to have to get up until we felt ready.

@arunima25 It is one of the very few benefits of being old and retired.

I feel completely drained and wish I could bee in bed. However, it's only not even six, and a bit early. Rest well.

Oh! Hope you can wind up things early and hit the bed. It does happen with me at times, especially when I miss my power nap in the afternoon.

I rarely sleep late at night these days as I have been asked by the doctor not to. In Odisha too there are strikes going on by government employees for pension after retirement but most of it is witnessed at Bhubaneswar.

It seems like India enjoys many holidays. How many are there in a year? Sorry to hear about the protest strike. Is water a big issue in your country? Have a good day.
