I don't want to say good, or bad yet. Our smoke detector drama continues. We installed the one we bought to replace the broken one, and that started chirping. Now my husband is trying to swap out what we know to be a good one with what we think might be the broken one, and isn't having much luck. He tried another room, and apparently more success. And.... as I figured, it's chirping. Because of course it is. Not good not good at all. George also said he's going to head down to where I turn to play Pokemon go and make sure that area isn't blocked off, again. Because I don't want to be stuck at home if I don't have to be. Of course. On the plus side, posting like I did last night and this morning is leaving me more encouraged.

That is really strange, a new detector shouldn't be chirping.

That's because there's something wrong with the battery. We got our "new" one tested before leaving Ace, while I instructed him.

We either broke the battery or it was defective. So we replaced the unit.

I hope the chirping is done for now. Have a good day.
