Unsolved Famous Murders

Some of the most interesting stories in the media are the old famous murder mysteries that were never solved. Did you know that in 2019 the FBI reported that there are more than 250,000 unsolved murders in the United States? From 1965 to 2021 there were 340,000 cases of homicide and non-negligent manslaughter cases that went unsolved. About 6,276 murders go unsolved every year in the United States. I personally wonder how many of these were not handled as well as they should have been. I was so happy to hear that the Long Island murders were finally solved. I have watched several documentaries on this one. I think the one that comes to mind as the most famous is the "Jack the Ripper" killings back in 1888 of five female sex workers in the Whitechapel area of London. There are over 100 suspects and the culprit is still unknown. This really drives my curiosity quotient up big time. The 1996 murder of Jon Bonet Ramsey always leaves me wondering what the heck. I have recently seen a doc that put Mrs. Ramsey at the head of the suspect list. Her handwriting, blood on the sink, and how she hurriedly called friends which made a joke out of the crime scene. She was a basket case and I just wonder if that was because it was a horrible accident. What do you think? And what about the 1947 Black Dahlia murder? She was at high risk as it was. Hanging out with weird men and such. I have heard again that there was a strew of murders in Ohio I think it was that had the same MO. The bodies were cut in half and drained of blood. I wonder if it was the same guy. Why only one in California?

The Jon Bonet Ramsey case is very upsetting. It always amazes me how criminals can get away with murder. Have a good weekend.

Yes, very amazing. I am thinking her mom may have done it and that, to me, is very amazing.

Unsolved murder cases are always fascinating and make you wonder what if, how, who, and so on. It is kind of scary to think that even your next-door neighbor could be a murderer but never caught and accused. Or even a good friend and one day they just might turn on you,

Scary to let the imagination go too far or a good neighbor turn on us. Oh, my.
