fell out of bed

I fell over last night

When I was in bed I tried to reach for my phone to see the time. I leant over too far and fell out of bed. r I part landed on one of my little table legs. I couldn't get back up so I screamed hoping to wake my hubby. It didn't work so I pressed my panic button. Someone was going to come out to pick me up and check for injuries. Luckily my hubby appeared and picked me up. Amazingly I had no injuries apart from bruises on my arms which I had used to protect myself. I felt traumatised for the rest of the night. My daughter and the twins are due to visit any time now. I must pretend I'm not tired

I am glad you are fine despite the fall. Before reading this post I was reading an article "how to prevent falls in your house".

@Gilljane I bet it is...you should have seen mine one time when I fell on my hard wood front steps. OMG, one cheek was black. I could have gone to the doctor, but I was pretty sure nothing was broken, what would be the point? Good thing I have some extra padding on there,,,all I can say.

Sorry you got bruised. Now you know don't lean over do what I do when I wake up to get anything, I first sit on the edge of my bed to orientate myself, I hope you have a good visit.

Yes, and I nearly removed in because it can irritate my neck. Thank goodness I didn't otherwise I could have been on the floor for some time
