The sun is bright here. Will Spring finally come?
I have some good news about my friends that are sailing. They have enough petrol and enough food to reach Chile. All thenks to a Peruvian lady (Humberto´s cousin) and Carla (Humberto´s daughter) who was there for work. Carla is a young woman who is capable of anything So although the Peruvian authorities did not let the Halcyon come into the Callao port, she made them accept that she rented a small boat to take petrol and food for them aboard.
Dixie was telling me that maybe they crew would leave the boat in the north of Chile and do the rest of the trip by plane. They are more than tired
But all is well if it ends well.
See you later.

I am glad they were able to get assistance for their needs. That's wonderful news. I hope they get home soon.
Somehow I am starting to think that traveling very far from home right now may not be the best thing to do. Have a good day, Marga.

This trip was different than many trips too. Humberto and his friends own the sailboat. It was in Panama and now they are bringing it to Chile. Big companies have all the administrative problems controlled, I guess. But there is too much violence in many places. Just look at what is happening in Isral now!

Yes, I am following the horrific Israel crisis here. We all need to stay informed on this situation. Violence is a severe disease, like Covid. It spreads with hate, and we all know there is a lot of hate out there.

@MarieCoyle I watch the news evry morning. I want to know about Rusia and Ucraine and now about the Israeli Hamas crisis. And besides all the, we see each days about earthquakescc and floods.
I don´t watch news at night though because it would interfere with my rest.

Dixie thought that they would prefer to leave the sailboat in the first Chilean port and take a plane to Santiago to sleep until forever. They are exhausted

@LadyDuck That last part will be easy if they rest.

@marguicha This seems to be a good plan. They need to rest, they can go back later to get the ship.

They must be more than exhausted. Poor sailors! And Humberto and his chums are all over 70 years old.

Both in Peru and in Ecuador, the sailboat was not able to be accepted to land, so to say.

I'm glad to hear the good news. I hope the rest of their trip is problem free. Lovely flowers. I'm so glad the photo problem has been solved. Have a great day.

I have not idea what the weather is doing in Florida mostly the days are dark, the sky gray, maybe some sun rays and back to the gray and no rain coming down, I hope you have a nice spring ahead of you. I have my fingers crossed for Humberto and hope he is home soon,
