A (non)update on the washing machine!

Sigh.....
Today was the day the plumber was supposed to come to disconnect the old washing machine and connect the new one. He was supposed to come in the afternoon, so we didn't go to the big Tesco like we usually do incase we missed him.
So, after I'd had my lunch and watched Home and Away, I went and emptied the bin in the downstairs toilet ready for the bin man coming tomorrow, then I put a new liner in the bin and took it into my bedroom so that it would be out of the way of the plumber when he came. I also put some domestos down the toilet.
I went into my bedroom and did some reading. At 4:15pm I went to get my dinner ready and the plumber still hadn't come. I said we could have gone to the big Tesco after all! But Mum said we weren't to know, and if we'd gone how would we have known the plumber hadn't come while we were out? Mum said that when they say "afternoon" they mean any time between 2:00pm-6:00pm. She said my step-dad had phoned the plumber to see where he was and he said he was sending his son round and that he works till 6:00pm.
Anyway, 6:00pm came and still no plumber! So the plumber still hasn't come and now we don't know when he's coming and what's going on.
We still need to go to the big Tesco tomorrow.
Anyway, enough of our problems. What have you lot been getting up to?

My relatives and myself are still waiting for the handyman to come and repair the washing machine as well. I am sharing good news stories on this site as well as completing surveys.

So, we're both in the same kind of predicament! WHEN WILL THIS END?! 
I can't imagine the pile of washing I'm going to have to do when the new washing machine is eventually connected!
I hope you are enjoying that. I especially hope you actually manage to complete some surveys and not just have them say, your device is not compatable with this survey, or you have been screened out of this survey as your profile does not meet the requirements!

@sharonelton That is true since the handyman is pretty quick in fixing damaged washing machines when my relatives moved in March of 2021.

@Deepizzaguy So what changed? I'm fed up of waiting for this new washing machine to be installed.

@sharonelton Yes..as I said in the other post..is there anyone else..I guess if there was, he would have been scheduled by now. Terrible really awful what a state to get into. Sods.

@RebeccasFarm I've just been told my step-dad has tried to contact the plumber but got no reply so he left a message and they haven't got back to him yet! He said he might cancel this one and try and find another, but my Mum said, make sure you phone him to tell him you're cancelling him first before you go phoning someone else! And my step-dad said it might be good for them both to turn up at the same time!

@RubyHawk My day wasn't ruined. The plumber didn't come. I did my painting and we went to the big Tesco as planned. I did some of my painting before we went out, and then finished it after dinner. It came out really good and I'm really pleased with it.

I'm sorry too. But I don't want him to come today, because first my Mum and step-dad are going out to the luncheon club and I don't want to deal with them on my own, plus I want to do some painting and I don't want to be disturbed! Then when my Mum and step-dad come back from the luncheon club we're going to the big Tesco instead of yesterday!

@LindaOHio My Mum phoned the plumber 5 times today. They never answered. She phoned his mobile twice and his landline once without leaving a message. Then she phoned his mobile again and left a message, then phoned his landline again and left a message. They still haven't got back to us. My Mum thinks they've gone on holiday!

So do I! Still no sign of the plumber! I've heard it's going to be rainy here too and there are even flood warnings and they said the temperature is going to drop dramatically! Yes, brrrr indeed! You have a good night.

You know how those plumbers can afford to not be on time because they know if we need their services, we are forced to wait on them as we have no other choice. They sure do make good money on us, don’t they.
I’m still feeling encouraged from yesterday. I think you’ll like this, Sharon. Last Friday, I got some bad news from my rheumatologist. Yesterday, when I went in to see my primary care doctor for an unrelated issue, I told him about those results. He said, “From one believer to another, how may I pray for you?” And then when I answered him, he closed his eyes, and just started praying right then and there. I was so encouraged I still feel good about it today.

Not being on time is fine. Not coming at all? Unacceptable! I don't know but I think my step-dad might phone up a different plumber. Don't quote me on that.
That is amazing! There's not many Doctors who would do that.

@sharonelton I would have not dared to connect myself our washing machine. What if I make something wrong and I cause a leakage. You are right you need a plumber NOW.

Yes, you're right, it is a never-ending story and I really do not know when it's going to end! We have a new washing machine, for goodness sake! We just can't use it because it needs to be connected! Wecan't do it! My Mum and step-dad are pensioners, and I'm not strong enough to move a washing machine! We need a plumber and we need him NOW!
