Another delay / myLot

I got a text from my plumber, apologizing for the inconvenience. I did not get the whole story, but I got pictures. He was attacked by a dog, and both of his hands are torn up. He has stitches that must remain in for a week to ten days. I am not sure when he will be able to work again. It looks very painful. I really feel sorry for him as he was expanding his business, keeping very busy. He even brings a helper who is a cancer survivor that most places will not accommodate He gives "Carl" work when Carl is up to it. People and their vicious dogs really frustrate me..

I hope he recovers from the attack quickly and is able to get your plumbing done then.

@GardenGerty I've noticed that the better plumbers/repairmen in my area are older... I don't know what we'll do when they retire. The younger guys either don't show up or text with excuses until I cancel them and call someone else. I'm glad stuff can wait a little longer. Good luck!

I am so sorry, poor man. I do not trust dogs, for their owners they are always "sweet lambs", some are vicious.

I have no idea of the circumstance when he encountered the dog, but I am not usually trusting of dogs either.

@GardenGerty A dog bit me when I was a kid. I was eating something and the dog escaped from the owner to grab my sandwich and he bit my hand. From that day I never trusted dogs again.

That is awful. I don’t say this lightly, but I hope that dog was put down. I feel terrible for him, and badly for you. At least he knew you would be more concerned about his health than the huge inconvenience you are facing now.

I hope the dog was not rabid or anything. Yes, it is inconvenient, but not really too bad. We are okay.

Wonder if that dog attacked him while he was on a job. Sad that he's going to be unable to work for awhile and sad that you have to wait longer for your job to get done.

I have been supposing that he was on a job. His last call out that he postponed our work for was a leaking propane tank.
