Music You've Probably Never Heard #9

Gosh, it has been a while since I have done one of these. But hey, everyone likes music from time to time? And most of us like something new and something different that we probably haven't heard before. Which makes this one a bit odd? I mean, it's from none other than The Beatles. One of the most iconic rocks bands of our time and certainly to come along in a long time. This one was actually a B-side to "She Loves You," called, "I'll Get You." Have you ever heard this one before?

My husband has been a big fan of Beatles. He might have heard it. I am not much into rock bands. But Beatles have been one of the most popular rock brands.

I was actually a bit surprised that this was a new one on me, and I have listened to a lot of Beatles.

@porwest Even my husband has not heard it before. Seems like this might not have been such hit like others of the rock band.

I checked my very old vinyl, it's on the back of "She Loves You", I only listened a couple of times to this song, not their most famous.

@porwest Of course you mentioned in your post, but often vinyls were not identical sold in different countries. The one I have was imported from the UK. I had to ask to my brother to look at his vinyl. My husband never liked the Beatles, so he has no records from this band.

@LadyDuck By the way, I bet those vinyls are worth some money. People are really into them again and older stuff is worth some bank.

@porwest Although The Beatles came a little after my time (I was more a fan of Elvis), I loved many of their songs, specially the first ones. Maybe the one I like best is Twist and Shout.. Imagine is not properly a song from them. It is John Lennon and beautifully serious.

Oh for sure. The A-side is definitely a golden Beatles classic. Even for me this is one that was a bit new to me. That being said, of course the Beatles have a very extensive library of songs and so I am sure that there are many that are simply lesser known, especially since so much time has passed. The classics become the ones we know and remember the most.

@marguicha For me there is a long list of songs I like from the Beatles. But I certainly liked Elvis too. Great talents for sure.

The one who went to a Beatles concert in the 60s rarely runs into a Beatles song that she doesn't know! I do know this one. It's always sad to think that only 2 Beatles remain, just like it's sad that there are only 5 Friends alive now. I have my own list of songs that most people probably don't know...I just have to get to it. Have a great day.

@porwest I've had this idea for quite a while and made a list which should be much different from yours!

@LindaOHio Yeah. My list is more obscure bands and such. So, I guess our lists will not be similar enough for me to demand anything. lol The Beatles was the only one that was "normal."

I look forward to the posts. I think these are fun to do. Just don't steal my thunder or I may come looking for license fees and royalties. lol

I don't think I have heard it before. It's quite a good song in a way, but also somewhat sinister!

Now that you mention it, it does sort of have a sinister vibe to it.

I am sure that closer to their "era" it would have been more well known. Of course, over time, what gets remembered now are mostly just their classics. I am certain that the die-hards definitely know it though.

I think a lot of current Beatles fans have never heard it before either. Except maybe REALLY die hard ones.
