Decluttering Before the New Year

There are about two months left until the new year starts. I know many of us don't do resolutions anymore but I am thinking of decluttering some areas of the apartment before the new year. I want to get a handle on it and clear out some things. Below is a list of some things I am going to clear up: * Fast food items such as plastic utensils and straws. Do I really need all of these? * Extra cooking utensils. I've accumulated a few. * Old papers, notes, and bills. * Food storage containers. We always accumulate a bunch of these during the summer. * Water bottles. We don't need all of these. * Spices and herbs. Time to sort through and buy new and fresh. * Plastic shopping bags * Old Make-up. Trying to get my daughter to sort through hers. * Loofahs and old shampoos. * Expired medications. * Ratty towels. * Old intimates. Bras and panties can only last for so long. * Unread books. * Old knickknacks * Sewing stuff like buttons and scraps of material. So, now I have to decide which things I am throwing away, donate, and which I will give to Goodwill.
