Today's finished painting.

So here is the finished painting of the lemons in acrylic that I did today. So after my previous post of the work in progress, I went to get my dinner. I put everything away so that my Mum and step-dad could have their dinner on the dining room table. Later, after EastEnders, I got it all out again to finish my painting, all except the paint brushes because I was only going to use a palette knife to paint the actual lemons. But first I put some veins in some of the leaves using raw sienna. I was going to make the lemons look square by doing strokes with the palette knife in one direction on the one side and in the other direction on the other side so that they'd meet in the middle and come to a point, but it doesn't seem to have turned out how I thought it would. Instead it looks like actual lemons, which makes for a great picture, but it wasn't actually the intention! After I'd put the lemon yellow on both lemons, I then added a bit of white to the lemon yellow to make it a bit lighter for the top of the lemons. After that I added lemon yellow to some orange for the bits at the bottom. I was going to put a dot of brown on the right hand lemon, but it came out too big so I blended it in!
