Collateral was a 2004 action thriller film starring Tom Cruise as Vincent and Jamie Foxx as Max. The plot being a cab driver finds himself hostage as a Hitman makes his way around LA to take out his targets. As soon as we learn Tom Cruise is playing Vincent it jumped out at me and wondered how many times Tom Cruise plays a character named Vincent. I know off the top of my head this is at least the second time. In the Color of Money (1986) Vincent is a pool shark. It was the sequel to the 1961 movie The hustler. Was that done on purpose? Just a little something for you to think about. The film is rated R for violence and language. The story is alright and did keep me interested though the ending left me a little disappointed. I guess I just expected more from the ending. As for the action, there were some good action scenes, that were nicely put in between the story telling. Of course, you know if you read any of my other “movie” posts, I must point out some minor problems with the film. There is a scene where we are looking at Tom Cruise at a wide angle at a gas station and we see a car coming in from the left side of the screen, it snaps to a closer view and the car never goes by. Where did that car disappear to? Another scene we are looking at Tom Cruise in the back seat of the cab and there is a car with its head lights on behind them we quickly look to Jamie Foxx and back and where did that car go? Jamie Foxx loses his glasses. There is a scene where he gets off the train and his glasses are on, we cut for a second to look at the train and when we look back at Jamie his glasses are gone. There are other mistakes like that, and I am sure many more but those are a few I caught in the first time watching this. Overall, I thought it was an entertaining movie and may even watch it again sometime.

I think I have seen a little bit of this one but not the entire movie. Maybe I need to go back and look for the bloopers, those can be more entertaining then the movie itself
