So, above is my fox painting work in progress.
I think It's going quite well so far.
I started with the background doing a bit of sky and distant trees in a mixture of lilac, white and a little bit of cerulean blue. Before I did the brown of the closer trees, I painted in the foreground snow. I tried to make it a bit textured like snow, and I tried to cover the pencil lines at the edges, because when you've got snow, you don't have pencil lines! Then I put in those brown trees.
I let that dry and then I blocked in the coloured parts of the fox with a base colour of raw sienna. Then I let that dry. Then I started with the legs and started to put in the darker colour. Then I carried the darker colour into the body of the fox in it's middle where it's darker. I put a bit of a lighter colour at its rear end, then put a middling colour inbetween.
Then I started on the rustic burgundy kind of colour that moves from the top of the front legs into the body. I used a combination of violet, deep red, raw sienna and a little bit of mid yellow.
I didn't have the exact colours that the guy on the YouTube video was using. He used cadmium red and cadmium yellow. When I've got my Christmas money I might get some of those from Tales Press, but I'm a bit skint at the moment.
Then I started on the face. I put the nose in first and his little mouth in black. Then I did the dark parts of the ears. Then I coloured in the shaded part of the face and eyes with a slightly lighter version of the brown I used on his rear end.
Then I painted his bib area white. This part is going to have grey fur painted on it.
So, this is how far I've got. I then went and got my dinner, and here I am. I will continue doing some more to him after EastEnders, but I don't know if I'll be able to completely finish him tonight.
I hope you are all well and having a great day.

@sharonelton It's Diwali festival here. It starts today and the main festival is on Sunday. I have already spent quite a lot this month. Would only buy what I really need. I will do one more shopping around March for the same.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you think so.
Yes, I'll hopefully spend a but of my Christmas money on paints.
I hope you can get what you want when you buy art and craft items. I also need some stamping card.
