Two things:
1. The plumber has been released for light duty work. He should be able to get started next Tuesday.
2. Monday we are adding a new student to our little classroom. To help him be successful we had to do some rearranging. Ellen is not back until Monday. Some of us stayed to work on that. I am falling asleep at my desk
Never underestimate the power of determined women.

If he gets the sink and faucet replaced in my bathroom we will be able to go to Minnesota for the holiday. Otherwise, I have to be home to empty the bucket, because it has started to leak.

I guess I should look and see why a plumber is necessary. It's our a need for your house or school?

I had a number of plumbing things that need done. I do not have money for extras during the summer, so as soon as I got my first big school check I went about meeting a new plumber. I did not like the one I used last spring. The one we have had good experience with in the past was not available last spring for an emergency repair, and this fall he was getting a new knee. I was given a business card for a plumber who lives some distance, but seems like the kind of person I like to do business with. He has, however, been plagued by some emergencies, and I appreciate him taking care of the emergency needs first. Mine are mostly annoying. His last emergency, though, was that his hands got horribly injured by a dog.

"The plumber has been released..." sounds as if he was "doing time" at "the big house".

Yep, but nope. His hands were pretty well torn up from trying to break up a fight between his two dogs.

You know, there are several non urgent needs, but then there is one that I need fixed so I can leave town for Thanksgiving. It sounds perhaps like this new student has behavioral issues.

@GardenGerty Yes, you need that leak fixed before you can go...
Oh, that doesn't sound good... I hope it's not a bad behavioral issue.

Some of the things we moved were quite heavy. I admit to being sore, but it is just that these are muscles I have not used lately.

@GardenGerty I'm sure they are sore. I'm glad you'll be okay.

I thought I got a good night's rest, but my fitbit did not count the first five hours I was in bed.

I got to be in bed for much longer than I usually do. I am taking it fairly easy today as well.

Done right is even better than done fast. I am looking forward to all these annoyances being conquered, though.

That's really good news about the plumber. And I agree - determined women can just about move the earth.

Even though I am in bed a goodly amount, hubby is up and down a lot and I am sure that disturbs my rest. Also, I had just finished helping move a lot of heavy things around in the classroom. My body was saying "hey wait a minute!!"
