It's not going as well as I'd liked! First of all, an Andy Warhol type painting usually has four divisions where the same picture is reproduced in different colours. I find bottles hard enough to draw in the first place, so I didn't want to have to draw them four times over! Plus I find tracing the picture and transferring it to the card difficult and time consuming too! So I decided to do only one picture of the bottles. I decided to do the background colour in yellow, as you can see, but I thought it might not cover the pencil marks where I rubbed out. I wanted the actual bottles to show obviously, but not the rubbings out where I didn't rub it out enough! And sure enough, I was right! The pencil rubbings out do show through! Anyway I'm hoping to go over it with another colour. But that's how far I've got and I'm currently waiting for it to dry before I do another colour on top.

Bottles are harder to draw than we can imagine. I wonder if waiting until it dries, and applying a little darker yellow would help to mask those pencil rubbings.

Yeah, you're right! I can never seem to get the neck of the bottles to look symmetrical on both sides! I put blue over it and it went pear shaped!

@sharonelton Oh my! Pear shaped bottle necks are a bit weird.

@LadyDuck I meant it went wrong! When someone says it went pear shaped they mean it went wrong. Saying something went south means the same thing!

I'm glad you think so 'cos I can see the rubbed out pencil marks. Anyway, it didn't stay like this. It started pear shaped and from there got even worse!

@sharonelton Those marks would be part of what makes it interesting. Everything is fluid, no pun intended.

@TheHorse Well, maybe you think so, but all I could see was a great big mistake!

I'm sure every painting comes with its own problems. Each one would be a learning experience too. I bet this is the last one where you don't rub out the pencil marks properly.

Yes, that's true, and yes, you're right! This will be the last one where I don't rub out the pencil marks properly!

You have the shape of the bottles done quite well. I couldn't do it! Have a great day.

For me, it's difficult to draw anything. I haven't tried to draw bottles.

I find it very hard to draw bottles. I find it very hard to get the neck of the bottle symmetrical on both sides. I tried drawing it upside down and even that didn't help. They were still not quite perfect when I finished them! That's the reason for all the rubbing out marks.

Thank you very much. I'm glad you like it. I'm not sure about the rubbing out marks! They don't show on the finished version because of the messy background!
