Day 125 2 Corinthians 1:15 In this confidence I intended to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit— 16 to pass by way of you to Macedonia, to come again from Macedonia to you, and be helped by you on my way to Judea. 17 Therefore, when I was planning this, did I do it lightly? Or the things I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be Yes, Yes, and No, No? 18 As God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. 23 Moreover, I call God as witness against my soul, that to spare you I came no more to Corinth. 24 Not that we have dominion over your faith but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith, you stand. People intend things every day. They make plans so that by the end of the day, they can see what they accomplished. Many times, those plans get interrupted and pushed to another day. However, when those plans come to fruition, they feel good about their accomplishments. Paul intended to come again to Corinth, not for his benefit, but for the church located there. His plan was for them to see him on his way to Judea. When making plans, he told the Corinthians he was careful his plans weren’t according to the flesh, causing his actions to be yes and no. Instead, he made plans according to God’s faithfulness, who is the Yes and Amen. He told them God established them and anointed them in Christ through God. He told them that he along with Silvanus and Timothy did not have dominion over their faith but were fellow workers for their joy. For by faith, they stood. As Christians, do you wonder why the plans you make don’t come about? You work hard for the gospel, but nothing works out. Did you put your plans in God’s hands? When you seek God’s will in your plans, God will show you what He wants you to do. Then your plans will work out because it was His will, not yours. He is the Yes and Amen of your faith. You are not His. He sets in motion what He intends for your life and the plans He has for you. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (NKJV) When you include God in your plans, and seek Him in everything you do, your plans will come to fruition. He is the Yes and Amen in everything you do. It is your joy to do His work according to His purpose for you. Let’s pray: Father, help me seek Your will in everything I do. My intentions mean nothing if they are not grounded in You. Before I start my day, let me seek Your will for my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Sometimes God's will is not our will.

I agree. That's why you need to pray for His will to be done in your life. Have a blessed rest of your day.

Yes, our plans, and our life, should be grounded in God, as otherwise, we are just trying to do things from our own selves, instead.
