This is today's painting project work in progress.
It is a street scene in Provence, similar to the one I did in art class in the summer, but slightly different.
I chose two different pictures when I was at art class, then I chose which one I wanted to do. The other one I took home to try at a later date, and this is it!
So I drew out the picture first on Monday night and then again last night and this afternoon I started on the actual painting.
I got out my little heater because the heating's playing up and I thought I'd be very cold with my short sleeved painting blouse on. Then I started on my painting. I did the sky first, then left it to dry. While it was drying I checked my phone and I got a text from Paul saying he would let me know shortly when he can come round to see my latest masterpieces!
When most of the blue was dry I painted the buildings and the street with an underpainting of yellow ochre. (Or ochre yellow as it said on my tube!) And now I'm just waiting for that to dry!
I will start to add more colour in a minute when the underpainting is all dry.
What are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

Your perspective looks very good in the sketch. Interesting that Paul will be coming around! Just getting ready to have my new TV delivered tomorrow. Have a great day.

Ah, you know about perspective!
When I started the initial sketch it was a nightmare!
the the bottom line of the houses on the right was too low and ended up too far to the left! I had to rub it out and start again, but I got there in the end!

@sharonelton Today I picked up the cremated remains of my brother from the undertakers. Not sure what to do with them.

Oh, dear. That's not a nice job. Did he have any favourite places where you could scatter them?

Thank you very much. I hope you like seeing how I did mine.
I'm glad you did some housework and caught up with the laundry.
Have a great night.
