Pay Extra For Good Products?

Should we have to pay extra for quality and sustainability? Should we pay extra for products that have been made ethically or sustainably? Or should we get quality, ethics in producing, and sustainability all in one package and not necessarily have to pay more for it? I know the old saying "You get what you pay for" but, I think we should not have to pay extra to know that the products we buy are made ethically and are produced in good faith. Not cheap and without regard for the buyer. Bottom line--we should get a good product and not worry that it is made with non-healthy ingredients or that animals are not harmed in the production. I think these things should be a given.

That's right. Good quality should be guaranteed.

@celticeagle Some poor countries have very bad food only because they are poor.

And make them as cheaply as possible for a larger profit margin.

@celticeagle Exactly! But incredibly people often do not care to read the ingredients, it's tasty, it's cheap, they buy. Our government is planning to ban Nutella... it was time they did.

That's the way it should be. So many items today are made with a discernible end date. In other words, a washer that lasted 20 years before may only last 7 years now. Planned obsolescense. Enjoy your Sunday.
