A busy week!

Last night I really did sleep like the proverbial log. I went to bed at 10:15 (which is really early for me) and the next thing I knew it was 7:00 am. It’s been a busy week here.
One day I was ushering at the theatre for a performance of the pantomime. It’s pretty good this year so I didn’t mind that this was the third time I’ve seen it.
Another evening I was at a different theatre for a candle-light concert of Queen songs performed by a string quartet – it was really good and I got to listen to that twice! (and I will actually get paid for that!)
Then I spent two evenings being Father Christmas’ elf assistant – three hours each time walking around the village accompanied by the sleigh, lit up and playing Christmassy music, while Father Christmas met the little children and handed out some small gifts.
Then there was an evening at the ceilidh (where I worked on the bar for an hour in return for free admission).
Then another day I drove a nice man to an outpatient appointment and then took him home again later.
Then I spent one evening plus the whole of Sunday at the amateur dramatic group making sets and painting scenery.
I also had some of my regular work to do in between times of course, plus taking Big One to and from school as she has hurt her leg and can’t cycle at the moment.
And finally we actually paid to go to a brass band concert of Christmassy music where Big One’s music teacher (plus someone else we know) were playing.
So I certainly haven’t been bored!
I can’t imagine what it must be like to have ‘nothing to do’. The last time I remember thinking that I had nothing to do I was about seven years old.
What about you?

That sounds like such fun, and no wonder you slept so well. The last few weeks haven’t been too busy for me, but they have been so fun. From last week walking through a Christmas lights festival (small part shown) with my sister’s kids, to spending time with my best friend yesterday, it’s been good.
I so love your picture!

You’re putting us all to shame. Most people on here are either too old or too infirm to do anything like what you’ve done this week.
The Pride of Britain is over for this year, but I’ll consider putting you forward for 2024, if can muster up the energy and enthusiasm.

Wow! You have been busy.
I hope you enjoyed the performances. I'm sure you did!
You were Santa's little elf assistant? That's cool. When Santa comes round our area he has no elf assistant, and he doesn't give out presents!
Instead he has men in florescent jackets with buckets who take people's money for charity!
Me? I've been mostly sitting at home Mylotting, watching telly and cooking. My Mum went shopping on Tuesday, but I went shopping on Wednesday and Friday, and I did some painting again on Thursday. Ofcause I watched Doctor Who on Saturday, which was very good, and the next episode is the Christmas special! I can't wait!
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

You keep busy too! I was going to ask how the painting was going.
I remember Father Christmas coming around when I was little. He came on a biggish lorry (we lived in a rural area so I guess they had a few villages to cover each night) and he used to give out sweets.

@Fleura Thank you very much! The painting is coming along nicely, thank you. Last weeks is still a work in progress and I'll try and finish it this Thursday.
Yes, that was the same with us. But his mode of transport has shrunk over the years!
He didn't give out sweets though!

Wow! You certainly have been busy. Unfortunately, with my mobility issues, I have very little to do every day! Have a good week.
