Oh, I Forgot...

I forgot something I should have added to my first marriage info. When I was pregnant I loved to sleep on the ground. It felt so good on my back. So glad I was pregnant in the summer months. I slept outside a lot. That's not what I was going to add though.
My husband's aunt had a party in the summertime. An older gentleman was flirting with me at one point. My husband came around and made this weird comment. He said that he could have me for 50 cents. He was totally serious.
This is the man I was living with at about 7 months along with his child.

I would have retorted that any woman could have him for a cent as that was his worth.

Looking back I would have too. I was very young and had never been around such as what he turned out to be.

@celticeagle I know what you mean I
had 1, I seen the true colors on his
FORHEAD, after 4 yrs in, & I got smart.
Cause at the time I met him I was only
17 from a foster home I ran away from
after the HUSBAND at the foster home
rapped me. yeah, & the ONLY way I knew
to get away was to move in with this dude,
I met at the resturnt downthe road
"from home" didin't know this guy from the
get go & moved in within hrs of meeting him.
Evevrything was going good the 1st we
heard I was PG & I didn't think nothing of
it we had the baby & that's when everything
fell apaprt at the seams, the baby was from
my Fosterdad, & ALL HELL broke loose.
at the start except, I didn't tell him WHY I
wanted to move in with him THAT NIGHT.
I had a son from my foster dad 9 mons
later into this new relationship, & he was
Black & up in his 60-70's hell it's been
awhile, but yeah, I know all to well about
things as this, if you want my email, I'd
be glade to give if you don't have it.

Horrific. Your first husband seems to have had had no notion of what the word "man" means, sorry to say. Men honour their wives, little boys have no idea how to that. Seems like you married a cruel boy at the time. Good riddance to bad rubbish as my grandfather used to say.
Sometimes the clue is right in front of our eyes, and it takes a long time for our older selves to forgive our younger selves for missing those clues. Life can be really cruel, but an abusive spouse is one of the worst cruelties, because the abuse will eventually spill over to the children. Give yourself a pat on the back for saving your child from that. To change a cruel little boy trapped in the body of an adult is a task in which your chance at failure is readily guaranteed before you even start.

I was young and had never associated with such as him. He was a good guy up to the point when I got pregnant.
