Mullet Festival: Where?!?

I did not know about it until now. A countryside near Sydney, Australia, called Kurri Kurri, celebrates the "Mullet Festival" yearly. Of course, the typical winners will go along with how the hairdo is styled and how long they have been wearing it. It became popular during the 1980s. I had seen some locals in my country have this, but I never tried it. In your area, are mullets in vogue? Do you like the mullet hairstyle? Do you too think it's iconic? Thanks God NO, in our area that kind of hairstyle is not popular at all. Those hairdo look "dirty" to me.
