Do you celebrate New Year's Eve? If you do, what do you usually do?
Many years ago, friends might have a party at their house we'd go to. But never any really big celebrations like some people have.
Now we don't celebrate at all. We've just had Christmas and my birthday, so we're a little tired, lol.
Christmas was wonderful with the kids and grands, and my birthday was really nice. I opened some gifts at Tammy's, then a few more on the 29th. Dale took me out to a nice local steak house which was very enjoyable, then gave me a bottle of Tresor perfume, one of my favorites.
So it's been a great holiday. For many years I seemed to get sick after my birthday and sure enough, I did this year, also.
Nothing serious, I'm sure, just achy all over, headache, no fever, but feel really awful. Two naps yesterday and one so far today. I wonder why that happens. Maybe too much good food which, thankfully I was able to eat.

We need to get an IV of Vitamin C for you this time of year. No, but really, my mom and I would do the same thing, for ten straight years right after Christmas with the flu. We got the flu shot and everything, but we always got sick.
Nothing crazy will be going on here tonight. I’m trying to get rid of a migraine. My doctor didn’t refill my migraine medication before the holiday, so I’m working on prayer here. 
So far, it is tolerable, and I have no nausea.

Amber, I'm praying right now that God will ease your pain. I know how horrible those headaches can be.
It's weird how we get sick right after Christmas, isn't it? Maybe we're run down after all the holiday preps. Although I don't do nearly as much now that we have Christmas at Tammy's instead of here.

I went out last year with my friend but normally I don't. I haven't since I was like 21 or 22. I was out clubbing for Y2K so that was an experience. It isn't a big deal to me. My neighbor is coming up for a nice dinner and that will be that.

We never had big New Year's celebrations. In the past we invited our parents, had a nice dinner and waited to see the New Year come. This year we went to sleep before midnight, my husband was tired and confused yesterday, it was the best thing to do. Happy New Year to you and to your family.

@1creekgirl My husband was a lot better the first day of the year. I know that some days are good but I have to expect bad days. I am sorry you did not feel well enough to go with Dale.

I hope you're feeling good today. Our New Year's Eve was disappointing this year. Hubs decided to sleep rather than fix our tenderloin and bubbly dinner. Then he stayed in his room for the dropping of the ball. Didn't get my New Year's kiss. Oh well. Happy New Year! Love you too!

I'm sorry your new year's eve was disappointing. Is your husband better today?
I haven't felt well since Saturday. Not sure what it is, but today I've had some rather bad muscle pain. Muscle relaxer is helping.

@1creekgirl He's rested. Now he can't find the big roaster for the pork roast and sauerkraut. Sigh. What are we going to do with you? I am very concerned that you're not feeling well. What does your doctor say?

I felt really good at Christmas and on my birthday, but not good since then. Just haven't felt well and today started bad pain in my muscles. Thankfully a muscle relaxer has helped.
How are you and your son? Is it awfully cold there?

I don't really celebrate. If I am with Chris (my boyfriend), I would celebrate. Chris went back to NJ December 28th. So I went to bed early.

Mike and I use to go over to his parents but haven't done so in a few years. We hated driving home, they live about 7 miles from us, because even in our small town drunks would (are) out driving. Now we stay in. If we are awake we wish one another happy new year.
