I know I was worried about today, and George eating. However, He ate late. So, he got food. He also got done with therapy early, and I suspect tomorrow will be a day off. Given that, he and I will likely catch up on some sleep. Or, not.Well, actually they want him to take a shower. So, no therapy. We'll play it by ear and see what happens.

I’m glad they’re letting him have these milestones (like showering) in a “controlled environment” and not pushing that off on you (“here’s your husband, take him home and let him bathe”).
Praying 2024 brings him great improvements in his health, and peace and joy for you both!

It's all part of the rehab process to exercises good hygiene. They won't make him take a shower everyday, but when he does, he has to be supervised. His therapists are also recommending I monitor him when he showers at home.

@FourWalls Our bathroom is the size of a walk-in closet, compete with postal sink. We have a standard tub/shower and I have a shower chair I can put in the tub for him. If not, they will set me up with what he might need.

@kaylachan — do you have an appropriate tub/shower? Or will they give you the equipment you need to make sure he doesn’t fall in your bathroom at home? One of the reasons I got a walk-in tub as soon as I paid my house off was my arthritis makes it tough sometimes to get out of a “regular” tub, and I knew I might need that…not now, but maybe in 10-15 years.

I hope you have time to eat as well, Kayla. He is going home Friday, so that's not far off, hopefully it will go quickly for you both.
