New Year, New Start?

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? It's almost time for me to head to bed because I got to get up early tomorrow. Eli goes back to school after his not too long Christmas break. However, this is more about my health journey and plans. Over the years I have done low carb, or what others might call it "Keto". I do agree that some kind of low carb whether Keto, or Atkins, etc is going to be the best help for me in weight loss and controlling my blood sugar. However, I am not good at sticking with things for very long. I was able to do it in the past for 3 months straight and got my A1c down to 5.6 (normal range). However life happened and I got off the wagon and haven't been able to get back on 100% since. So I think I am going to work back to that this year, but not going to jump into it right away. I will lower my calories down to 1200 to 1400. I am sure even 1400 would be a deficit currently even though I do eat less than I used to because my Mounjaro shot makes me fuller. Instead of eating 3 meals and snacks/dessert I usually never eat more than 2 meals and then a snack or dessert at night. Going to try to keep with the 2 meals, and not a snack/dessert every night. Or if I need something have protein instead of "dessert". Also going to try to get back into working out 5 days a week. I am charging my fitness watch so I can count my steps and everything starting tomorrow (Tuesday). I have my CGM on to track my blood sugar as well. Also, I am going to work on drinking more water - starting with at least 64 oz. I drink almost none as it is since I prefer my diet soda. Not giving those up though. We'll see how this thing goes. I see my endocrinologist later this month and want to show some weight loss for a change. Still don't know what to tell him about the veggies thing. He doesn't believe that I don't like any. Anyways - that's for another time. What do you think of all that? Should I start sharing my food and activity daily to try to keep myself accountable again? Sharing an art design I made back before I started making the Christmas/winter designs. I don't think I had shared it here yet. What do you think of this design?

The design is nice. I like it. I hope you can take charge of your diet and lose weight. Posting your foods and weight adds to the accountability.

I am glad you like the design....still probably will share some more wintery style designs...but wanted to add something different in. I know I need to change things, I can't keep going at this weight. But the want to get up and do things is the hard thing. and the thought of just eating meat, eggs, and cheese doesn't sound appetizing, would rather eat nothing. Hopefully over time that will change

@just4him Well I have felt that way since the last time I tried to do low carb so not sure it will. Today even the thought of eating a breakfast burrito with sausage and eggs was not appealing even though it would have had the tortilla.

Well I know I will feel a lot better when I lose this extra 30 to 40 pounds I put on. One good thing, I weigh around the same I did last January 1st lol. Glad you like the unicorn!

Glad you like the unicorn. I will try, not sure if it will be daily or weekly yet. Maybe at night again with my food/stats and then a weekly "weigh in". Not looking forward to seeing the Endo

Not sure how well I will do....I am not really into dieting and all that...but I can't keep going the way I am. Glad you like the design
