Is There Life After Death?

I was fortunate enough to find a sort of fundraiser I guess. It was a group of college professors and scientists who John Cleese had brought together from a Virginia College in 2018. Some very interesting research that several professionals at this college were taking part in. It is rather amazing the things they spoke about. Near-death experiences are miraculous and keep being tracked. I will share some of the stories below. One man whose brain was eaten away literally by cancer suddenly became completely lucid and was able to say his goodbyes to his loved ones. There was also an Alzheimer's patient who became lucid near death and was able to speak to his family. Thousands of cases of deathbed visions of loved ones and these seem to be quite common. Some even have been known to talk to a relative who recently died. People have reported seeing an apparition of a friend or relative who has just passed away. Also, there are children who when about 4 or 5 start talking about living a past life. If the person they were in a past life died tragically the child may have nightmares reliving it. There have also been reports of these children having certain phobias. If in their past life, they died by drowning they might be a afraid of the water and such as this. One child named Ryan started talking about a past life. He shared several things about his life and 50 statements he made were checked and found to be correct. Where he lived, what career he worked in, and different things like this. He said his name had been Marty and they researched and found a man named Martin with all the info matching. These children often talked about this past life until they reached school age and either forgot about it or didn't talk about it anymore. I have been interested in this sort of thing for years and am so happy to hear that scientists are curious enough to be doing this research. Most of it is gathering people's information so far and the amount of study they can do depends on the amount of funding they can get. I think it is exciting. Many scientists do not believe any of this could be realistic and they haven't even read the literature. Woody Allen once said: "I don't believe in after lives but I am taking a change of underwear." What are your thoughts on this issue?

well, one it's not an issue it's whatever you believe and feel. Many people believe in heaven and there isn't evidence of it being real or not. Just because evidence doesn't exist doesn't make something not real. It's only real to that person even memories whether they are past lives or not. They say birth marks are signs of something that happened to in your past life others just see it as a mark. I believe there is no heaven or hell. We live, we die we repeat till we learn whatever lesson we need to learn. Once learned then who knows maybe we stop being born again. Maybe we both have angles or live in another plan as a spirit or whatever. There is no wrong answer to this question it is whatever you feel it is.

They had the info on the birthmarks too but I just didn't add it. I would like to have proof to bring forth when people disagree with what I am trying to explain.

@celticeagle It's kind of hard to have proof if there is or isn't. Especially since we can't see what other people are seeing. They can tell us what they've seen, heard or experienced but without physical evidence, I don't my like brain scans it is hard to say what is or isn't true. Its perception is mixed with belief. Back when I went to college I sat through a debate that was even a debate because neither side could prove or disprove that god exists or if he is a he. The only thing they could agree on was the fact he was indeed Jewish.

I think that there are many mysteries. Science doesn't know everything.

No, they sure don't. They need to read the literature.

My mom was talking to an old friend just before she passed like she was having a conversation. It was good to know she would have her friend there for her on the other side.

I've heard about people talking to their families before they die. I believe those stories. I don't believe in past lives.

I believe in all of it. I think that reincarnation is rare but does happen.

It is all mostly relying on observation, and experiences, of people, in this area. Some scientists, and non-believers, have been to a hypnotist, and after they remember their own past lives, they then start to believe in it themselves. It is interesting to me too, so much so, that I also was hypnotised many times, and remembered experiences of past lives too. Even so, I was still not totally convinced, as we have dreams at nighttime, and the incoming input to our brains might be coming from many places, and so there might be other explanations, other than just past lives. When I had a past life recall on another planet, it made me doubt more that it was an actual past life. Maybe my brain was creating a dreamlike waking experience for me for some reason, or my brain was picking up information from somewhere, receiving it in, as data, not really as a direct past life. I valued the experience though, and enjoyed it at the time.

I have been hypnotized a few times and it was so interesting. We all experience things differently.

@celticeagle They used to sell hypnosis, past life regression tapes here, and I tried those too, which I also enjoyed doing at that time. I got my younger sister, and her friend, to try them too, and their experiences of their past lives, where interesting too.

I think it's very probable. And personally I want to come back as someone's spoiled house cat.

That would be nice. Yes, I think there are far too many stories for it not to be true.

I've explored a bit of this idea in one of my last Yule Tales and found myself writing another one exploring the subject, too.

The fact is that we know very little of the reality of what life is about. I take a view creation will remain a puzzle and it is beyond our comprehension. And our beliefs are also based on what we want to believe. Yes, there are accounts of children talking about their previous lives and they seem to be factual.
