The Parrot painting - continuing work in progress.

This afternoon I have been doing some more to my parrot painting. I waited till after Home and Away before I started, as there was still no luncheon club this week. Luncheon club starts again next week, so I'll have more time then. I started by lightening the brown feathers with lemon yellow. Then I used lemon yellow as an underpainting on the top of the wing. I darkened the shadow on the left of the parrot, then I added some different shading on the top feathers of the outstretched wing. After that was dry I added some shadow under the top row of middle wings, and added yellow ochre to the top row of middle wings. Then I added the red shadow on the wing and body of the bird. Then it was after 4:00pm, so I put everything away so my Mum and step-dad can use the dining room table for their dinner. I put the painting on my board on my bed where it can dry, and everything else except my art bag is also on the bed. I will do some more to it again after EastEnders. I'm hoping to finish it tonight and then I can start on something new next week when my Mum and step-dad go back to the luncheon club. I have contacted Paul and asked him to come round and look at the paintings that I have been doing, but he's been busy and hasn't been able to come round. He's going to come round sometime but I don't know when. I've got some things to give him, art magazines I have 2 of and a peel off palette pad. I've also got some foldable storage boxes. I'll ask him if he can make use of those. How's everybody's day going then? I hope you are all having a nice day.
