George is doing a little better today. I still can't get him to eat, but I did get his morning meds down his peg tube. So, that's a plus. I also got him to agree to drink some gatorade so he'll at least be hidraded. I can tube feed him if I have to, if I can't get him to eat solid food. I'm just taking it one day at a time. Tomorrow might prove to be a power struggle, because he's got a doctor's appoitment. Plus his in-home therapies will start this week. So, that'll be fun.

He’ll probably get sick of hearing “It’s for your own good,” so can you mix in a favorite activity (like a drive along the beach) with the appointment?

Ha! I wish. That would cost a small fortune. I don't drive, and he's not cleared to, obviously.

Hydration is very important One day at a time is a good way to go. Soon it will all seem like second nature. Glad he's better.

I am keeping George in my prayers and I hope all will get better as time progresses. I knew someone who did not have a stroke but just stopped eating for some reason. After that she was fed all those nutritional drinks they have on the market, Would any of these help him? How is Chilly doing? I hope you both have a good start to the week and the doctor's appointment goes well,

Those would help. Right now I'm using the tube food that was given to me by the hospital.
