Day 176
Revelation 5:1 I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?”
3 No one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth could open the scroll, or to look at it.
4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
5 One elder said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”
6 I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
7 Then, He took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.
8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
9 They sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and made us kings and priests to our God; and we will reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing!”
13 Every creature in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing, honor, glory, and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!”
14 Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.
Many things in life cause concern and anxiety. When they do, you look for answers, for someone to help in ways you can’t.
John was on the Isle of Patmos in the Aegean Sea between Greece and Turkey. Emperor Domitian banished him there because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. While on Patmos, John received the Revelation of Jesus Christ. John stood in front of the throne and saw the scroll with seven seals in God’s hand. An angel asked him if he knew who could open the scroll, but no one in heaven, earth, under the earth, or in the sea could open the scroll, except the Lamb of God. When the Lamb took the scroll from His Father, everyone in heaven, the angels, and the living creatures, fell down and worshiped Him proclaiming: Blessing, honor, glory, power, riches, wisdom, and glory to Him who lives forever and ever.
Christians understand this moment in heaven between John and the Lamb, Jesus Christ, as the beginning of God’s judgment on all those who rejected Jesus as Savior and Lord. The scroll contains the first seven judgments against them. Only the Lamb knows what judgments will come upon those who rejected Him. With each judgment, He gives those who rejected Him the opportunity to accept Him as Savior and Lord. That is why the angels, the living creatures, and everyone in heaven rejoice, singing before the throne. They know God doesn’t want anyone to perish but to accept Jesus and join Him in heaven.
What about you? Have you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, or will you face God’s judgment and eternal separation from Him who lives forever and ever? No one knows when the Tribulation will begin, but Christians know it’s coming soon. Knowing it’s coming soon; they worship and bless God because He is worthy. No one else in heaven or earth is worthy, only the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. Worship Him, accept Him, and bless His name forever and ever.
Let’s pray: Father, I give You praise and bless You because You alone are worthy of all praise. Help me spread Your Word to give people the opportunity to accept You and not face the coming judgment that separates them from You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

John wrote down his vision as the Book of Revelations, writing what he saw and felt, and a lot of it is open to interpretation by the reader, I think, as only John would really know the true meaning of what he saw.
John is showing us the revelation of what will happen in future times.
Like with some of Jesus' parables, we need the help of the Holy Spirit, to help us to understand the book of Revelations, I think.

@innertalks It represents something else. The number seven is important and always refers to God.

@just4him Yes, I guess that he did so. I have to try to study Revelations more, as I have tended to shy away from it a bit, as it seems rather allegorical to me.
A lamb with seven horns, and seven eyes, I wonder if that is literally real, or more just a vision representing something else.
